I am looking to rent a mobile home that has a gas stove and propane heat, will NOT be using the propane tank at all for heat in the winter, but portable furnaces to save money! I have a question, tho, if i ONLY use the tank for the gas stove, and no heat, any idea the cost? its not a large place by any means. its a 500 tank and its already full.. thanks in advance.

We just moved in a house that has a woodburning fireplace insert. Although we love it, that room gets used by my 88 year old mother and she cannot maintain the fire. We were wondering if we could save money and change to propane heat without changing the insert.

Which is more environmentally friendly? Which is more comfortable? Which can save you more money?
Thank you!

We have three fish tanks, a computor, a veggie garden,I make cleaning supplies out of vinegar stc, looking into making my own laundry detergent and I hang dry our cloths, I go back to school in september. Any ideas to make more money I tried to advertise housecleaning with flyers that didn't work, any better way,energy/propane saving ideas?

I have a mobile home with a central heater that i don't want to use,, and a gas stove and water heater hooked to a 300 gal tank that is almost empty. It costs about 500.00 to fill it with 100gal. due to transport costs and of course the higher prices of propane here. I was hoping to just top it off with a 10 or 20 gal. tank so i don't have to spend all that money. I can get a 20 gal. portable tank filled at the gas station for a lot cheaper and i don't need to use our central heater and of course turn down the water heater. And i'll be using electric heat. I noticed that on the 300gal. tank there's a resealable fill port. What do i need to, if it's possilbe, fitting wise, to put just 20 gal in it?
Thanks for any answers if i havn't provided enough info lemme know so i can add it here again Thanks
