My fixed propane heater in my cabin is acting up. It goes on pilot easily.?

but when I turn the knob to on there is no change in the flame or sound, The thermostat has been changed. What could the problem be?

could still be the stat, make sure you have the right style, they have 24v & millivolt, I have a feeling your prob. is at this stat. take it off and jump the two wires together and see if this fires the furnace. If so the issue is the stat. or the connections between the two.
True, it may be the T-stat, but it could be a number of other things. More information is needed.
When you say “Fixed propane heater”, do you mean that you had a repairman work on it recently? If that is the case, than that should be your first call, get them back out there and make it right.
Jumping the stat wires would be the first step, and if that doesn’t work more detailed info regarding the type of unit you have would be needed.
