Is it safe to use my Coleman propane rank?

I have a table top BBQ with one of those disposable Coleman propane tanks and I left it connected to the BBQ all winter and I hardly used any from the tank before it got cold last year. I am wondering if it's safe to use it this summer as it was in the cold all winter. We live in Sarnia Ontario

May 28 (Bloomberg) -- Matt Simmons, founder and chairman emeritus of Simmons & Co., talks with Bloomberg's Mark Crumpton and Lori Rothman about BP Plc's leaking oil well in the Gulf of Mexico. BP said in a statement today that it has spent 0 million responding to the spill, which began after an April 20 rig explosion that killed 11 workers. The well has been spewing an estimated 12000 to 19000 barrels of oil a day into the Gulf, a US government panel said yesterday. (Source: Bloomberg)
